Flat Bed CNC Lathes
LC, BN, CN & KAN series flat bed CNC lathes (including Hollow Spindle)
In line with our heavy duty manual PA series, this range of flat bed CNC lathes has almost become the industry standard for CNC hollow spindle, oil country lathes.
Extremely robust, these models are available with two and four shear beds, the LC and BN models the two shear variant with the larger CN and KAN models four shear.
Swing of the LC and BN, ranges from 880mm (35”) to 1790mm (70½”) with distance between centres from 1500mm (60”) to 5000mm (200”). The heavier four shear bed versions, the CN and KAN, feature models ranging from 880mm (35”) swing to 2040mm (80”) with bed lengths of 6000mm (240”) to 12000mm (480”)
As with Broadbent Stanley practice all models are available with a range of spindles, from bore sizes of 153mm (6”) to 610mm (24”)
All beds are of a hardened and ground one piece Meehanite cast iron construction for maximum rigidity, unlike other cheaper brands which utilise a separate base to ease manufacture - often compromising rigidity.
The box type, cast headstock utilises a heavy duty hardened and ground steel forging for its spindle, with drive through a 4 speed auto programmable, infinitely variable AC drive.
Control system is the latest Fanuc 18Ti, although optional controls including Anilam, Siemens and Heidenhain are also available.
Tooling options include 4 way and quick change tool posts, electric and hydraulic turrets with polygon or VDI disc and fitment of a second turret possible. Spindle “C” axis is also available and for “through spindle” work an additional outboard mounted chuck.
