CNC Slant Bed Lathes
SS, SA & SB series of heavy duty CNC slant bed lathes (including Hollow Spindle)
To compliment our industry leading heavy duty flat bed CNC lathes, we also offer a range of heavy duty hollow spindle, slant bed CNC lathes, specifically designed for large components.
This heavyweight performer utilises a 60° Meehanite cast iron, one piece bed with integral hardened and ground square (box) ways for maximum rigidity. No bolt on bedways here! The headstock again uses high performance Meehanite for its rigid casting with a robust, large diameter spindle for maximum metal removal.
The crosslide/turret are both of a sturdy construction with the slide again of square construction for greater rigidity and the turret fitted with an optional polygon or VDI disc.
Swing on this eight machine range starts at 610mm (24”) up to a maximum of 1400mm (55⅛”) with distance between centres from 700mm (27½”) to 5200mm (204¾”). Spindle bore sizes range from 153mm (6”) up to a massive 535mm (21”)
Optional control systems include Fanuc, Siemens, Anilam and Heidenhain with machine options including twin chucks, twin turrets, “C” axis, driven tools and power steadies.
